The Jewels of Kampung Baru

Jewels in their  own right. Dwarfed  and  surrounded  by  ferocious  development  engulfing   the  city  of  Kuala Lumpur.  These  houses  have  withstood  time  from   its  humble  beginnings in the  early 1890's . Set  aside  as a  permanent agricultural land and  formalised  by the  British as  the  Malay Agricultural  Settlement  in 1899. It's  given  name "Kampung Baru" literally  means  "New  Village" was   adopted   to distinguish  itself  from  the older  Malay  villages  in the surrounding area.
